It is a long standing Japanese tradition to hang 1000 origami cranes for good luck and well wishes to couples joining in matrimony. This tradition over the years has since branched out to include many occasions.
In this time of transition and turmoil we at Ceremony are holding time and space this spring for our community to come together to write and stamp words of joy, peace, and positive intentions on the wings of origami cranes. Artist Carrie Sanders will hang the 1000 cranes to coincide with a display of art coming to Ceremony during the Westminster art walk in May.
Please come join your community in spreading wishes, positive intentions and joy on a the wings of a 1000 cranes!!!
Strands of these cranes will be available to purchase during and after the show. Those who wish to purchase strands may collect them when the show comes down. Cranes will be available in strands of 25, 50, and 100.
