Move away from anxiety and towards your higher purpose with this 2-hour immersive workshop exploring Flow states. "Flow" is a state of being defined by a single-mindedness and focus that produces a sort of a rapture. We become completely absorbed in the activity, allowing the mind to quiet and the entire being to exist in creativity and bliss... sounds great right? Yet beyond the isolated experience of Flow, science is discovering that these states are responsible for a significant decrease in anxiety and stress in our daily lives, and may be the key to lasting happiness and peace.
Together we will explore what we know of Flow from both modern science and yogic philosophy, as well as how the mental states of anxiety, depression and stress interact with this phenomenon. We will then bring this understanding into the body to explore and discover our own individual paths to this state of Flow. Discussion, yoga, mindful movement, mantra and meditation will support our internal exploration of what Flow is, and how we can bring this feeling into our daily lives.
Alexi Neal is a registered yoga teacher with specialized areas of study in both anxiety and subtle body. Alexi has personal experience with anxiety, and has experienced for herself the transformative power of finding Flow states in daily life.
