In the first of our Seasonal Ayurveda workshops, you’ll learn about basic concepts of Ayurveda, an ancient holistic system of well-being and the “sister science” to Yoga. We’ll discuss the three main doshas, helping you to understand the patterns of your own unique body, mind & spirit. Then we’ll delve into the Fall/Vata season with yoga postures, pranayam/breath techniques, food suggestions, and simple self-care tips to help you stay grounded & healthy this Fall. Our evening will culminate with snacks and tea specifically crafted to help soothe excess Vata.
You’ll receive a detailed handout full of tips, recipes, and basic Ayurveda information so that you can feel empowered to boost your self-care and self-awareness, this season and beyond!
Emily has been a certified yoga teacher since 2010 and completed her 500-hr advanced teaching training at Samadhi Center for Yoga in 2015. It was in this training that she was privileged to study more of the energetics and subtleties of Ayurveda with Beth Sanchez and Jeremy Wolf (among others).
